(1) Plasma: The liquid part of the blood and lymphatic fluid, which makes up about half of its volume. Plasma is devoid of cells and, unlike serum, has not clotted. Blood plasma contains antibodies and other proteins. It is taken from donors and made into medications for a variety of blood-related conditions. Some blood plasma is also used in non-medical products.

(2) Plasma that separates from blood in coagulation.The water substance in which all blood cells are suspended in, until movement by the heart pushes them along the bloodstream. Blood Plasma consists 90% water and 10% of other compound and elements that each play role within the body.
