(1) Rituximab /ri·tux·i·mab/ (ri-tuk´si-mab) a monoclonal antibody that binds the antigen CD20; used as an antineoplastic in the treatment of CD20-positive, B cell non-Hodgkins lymphoma.

(2) rituximab (rih-TUK-sih-mab) A monoclonal antibody used to treat certain types of B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Monoclonal antibodies are made in the laboratory and can locate and bind to substances in the body, including cancer cells. Rituximab binds to the protein called CD20, which is found on B-cells. Also called Rituxan.
